Fox News media critic Howard Kurtz praised conservative CNN contributor Mary Katharine Ham, who claimed that CNN suspended her for speaking ill about former CNN legal analyst Jeffery Toobin.

Ham has been invited back on the air by new CNN boss Chris Licht, but says she will continue to talk about how she was treated at CNN.

“Good for her!” Kurtz cheered.

While all that is fine, there are a couple of issues that need to be raised. First off, cable news contributors aren’t really suspended, since they are just contributors. Basically, they might not be booked and in essence, frozen out from appearing on the air. But, I’m not sure suspended is the right word here.

Also, while it is nice that Kurtz is shedding some light on this story, what about the contributors at Fox News that have also been blackballed by the network?

I don’t remember seeing Kurtz either mentioning them, or cheering them on like he did with Ham.
