Labor Day 2021

It’s Labor Day and here are you and I laboring while the boss is off enjoying the day.

I for one never minded working the holidays. With the bosses all off, the newsroom just seemed to be much less stressful and relaxed.

It’s also a good bet that some Reporter is going to get a chance to fill-in anchor one of the newscasts today. While this might not be a big deal for you, it is a big deal for them. They may not be perfect, since they’re outside their comfort zone, so give them a bit of slack.

Enjoy the day and if you are getting time and a half for working, enjoy the extra money. These days in TV news, that might be the only extra coin you will see.
