Huh?

Suncoast News Network or SNN as it is known in Sarasota posted the story about a family that was forced from their home when it was destroyed by a fire.

This was what the station posted:

The fire happened in Bradenton which is located next to Sarasota, Florida. But, in reading the headline, one might think that the fire happened in Mexico.

Does the station always post like this?

Do they write a “Jewish famly lost their home” if the residents happen to be Jewish?

What if the family comes from Poland? Does SNN write, “a Polish family is on the street tonight after a fire destroyed their home”?

What does the fact that these residents were Mexican have to do with the story?

It just seems like an odd fact to add to the headline.

Maybe it’s just me….
