Gun to His Head

Sinclair’s KUTV in Utah was covering a story of a man that police say killed his ex-girlfriend.

The man then got into a standoff with police and was seen holding a gun to his head. After an hours-long standoff, the man ended up shooting himself in the head and is listed in critical condition.

KUTV posted the story on their social media and included numerous pictures of the suicidal man holding the gun to his head.

A number of the KUTV viewers took issue with the station posting the pictures. Many saw it as nothing more than shock value.

While the station provided a warning about the video on-air, they provided no such warning with the number of pictures they posted on social media.
