Sinclair has been busy the past few days cutting hundreds of people from payroll and it includes a GM at one of their top stations.

Sources at Sinclair’s struggling WJLA in DC tell FTVLive that General Manager Michael Miller was pushed out on Friday.

Miller had only been on the GM job for a year and a half. He replaced the not well-liked Dan Mellon, who Sinclair kicked to another job.

Miller came to Sinclair from Comcast and sources say he never really fit in with the Sinclair ways of doing things. WJLA is the dog of the DC market with its newscasts often finishing in 4th place in the market.

Sources at Sinclair say that WJLA News Director Cheryl Carson, who came from the Tegna station in Seattle is worried that her head might be next on the Sinclair platter.
