Yesterday, FTVLive told you that WLS (Chicago) star Sports Anchor Mark Giangreco was off the air and maybe never to return.

Giangreco landed in hot water after a comment he made during the newscast in which he was wrapping up a story about Canadian hockey star Spencer Jenkin painting his house while on roller skates and saying: “Gotta get him a show on DIY Network. We’ll call it ‘House Fix with Sticks,’ and Cheryl can play the ditzy, combative interior decorator. I got it all worked out.”

The “Cheryl” he was referring to is WLS Anchor Cheryl Burton and it appears that she, nor the bosses at the ABC O&O liked her being referred to as “ditzy.

We checked Burton’s Instagram to see if she addressed the incident and she did not.

But we did find this video post of Burton wearing an elf costume while Hoola-hooping on her birthday.
