“In the Past Few Years, I Haven’t felt Proud to be a Member of the Media"

KSAZ anchor Kari Lake “resigned” from her job on Monday, just hours after FTVLive posted a video of her on the floor of the right-wing CPAC convention in Orlando.

Lake has been off the air at KSAZ for months saying that she was dealing with a “health issue.” But, whatever that issue is/was, it did not stop her from traveling to Florida in the midst of a pandemic and attending a convention of conservatives.

Did she really resign, or did her bosses grow tired of her antics, and after seeing the story on FTVLive tell her enough was enough?

It is likely we will never know the real answer to that.

But, what is interesting, as Lake posted her video about her “resignation” she said, “I have been over the thrill of ‘being on tv’ for a long, long time, so I won’t miss the ‘facetime’ on TV,”

First off, if you got into TV news for the “thrill of being on TV,” you got into the business for the wrong reason. She then went on to say, “In the past few years, I haven’t felt proud to be a member of the media.”

Few years?

Why would you sit a job you don’t respect for years?

If you don’t like the job and you weren’t proud of what you were doing, why did you stay? For the paycheck? If that is the case it blows a big hole in everything else you are saying about Journalism.

Lastly, Lake claimed that she didn’t read FTVLive and called out those that did. Yet in her goodbye, she seemed to take a shot directly at FTVLive. While speaking of stories that media outlets have written about her, she points that those stories came from FTVLive. “They just take gossip from blog posts, write articles about it, then other reporters pick up the lies from one article and re-write those lies as if they are facts, where there was never truth to it in the beginning.”

She is a biased “journalist” and the industry is much better without her in it. Who wants someone telling us the news that isn’t, by her own admission proud of the job she holds and hasn’t been for a few years? Full stop.
