It is also another ABC O&O, joining WPVI on the best list.

KABC in Los Angeles has been a station that many have on their TV news bucket list. The station continues to lead the way when it comes to covering the news in LA.

“I love coming to work here,:” said one KABC staffer to FTVLive.

But, despite it being a good place to work, some point out it is not without its faults. “Just like all the stations here in LA, there is way too much use of freelancers,” said one station insider. “Stations use freelancers as a way to save on paying benefits and vacation pay,” the staffer added.

Some longtime freelancers feel they are passed over as the station hires someone from another market and not them.

But, KABC does show that they care about Journalism and those that are working there, for the most part seem happy.
