What About CBS Management and Their Pay?

When Tegna told their staff that they were going to be furloughed, they were also told that the station GM’s were going to have their pay cut, along with Tegna CEO Dave Lougee and other managers.

When Meredith cut the pay of their employees, company management also took a cut in pay.

Over at Fox, the employees have not seen their paychecks cut, but management has cut theirs. Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott took a 50% cut in pay, to try and make it so her employees did not have to be cut.

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that CBS was going to be laying people off, but we have heard nothing about management taking a pay cut.

While CBS’s O&O in Chicago kicked a 75-year-old Reporter to the curb, did CBS O&O news boss David Friend take a pay cut? CBS News is whacking people, is CBS News President Susan Zirinsky taking at 50% reduction in pay?

If top management at CBS would have taken pay cuts, no telling how many jobs that would have saved.

With CBS trimming the staff by hundreds of people, they said in a statement, “Our thoughts today are with our departing colleagues for their friendship, service, and many important contributions to CBS.”

Their “friends” but not enough to give up their own money.
