Sinclair's Last Ditch Effort to Save Donald Trump

After Donald Trump got grilled and roasted by Savannah Guthrie in an NBC town hall, he is running back to his puppets at Sinclair.

The right-wing broadcast group announced that Trump would participate in an event next week to air on Sinclair owned stations.

Sinclair will not use a Journalist to moderate the show, but will instead use their propagandist in chief Eric Bolling to do so.

While Bolling is preparing for that event, he is once again stuck re-editing his show America This Week that airs on the Sinclair stations over the weekend.

It seems that the factually-challenged Bolling once again screwed up. The NY Times writes that in the latest episode of Bolling’s show the conservative broadcaster perpetuated misinformation about the origin of the coronavirus pandemic and measures that help slow its spread.

Bolling made claims, which scientists have widely disputed, that the coronavirus was manipulated in a Chinese laboratory. He also questioned the effectiveness of face coverings and lockdowns, despite evidence that they are instrumental in limiting transmissions.

“It’s damn near certain this virus has to have been altered in a Chinese lab,” Bolling said in his monologue. “No way this is your routine ‘guy and girlfriend chow down on an uncooked bat turned into a virus.’”

Bolling, a former Fox News host, also said that “closing down cities and economies and wearing your tube socks around your face hasn’t slowed the virus down.”

After concerns were raised about the show, Bolling said that the show is being edited to remove some of his statements before airing this weekend on Sinclair stations.

As for Sinclair’s free commercial, disguised as a town hall with Trump, Sinclair’s VP of News Scott Livingston, said that it also offered a town hall to Joe Biden.

Joe ain’t that stupid.
