Taking it to the Street

Yesterday marked the 25 year anniversary of Studio 1a at NBC’s Today Show.

When NBC moved the show to a street side studio, little did they know that just about every network would follow their lead.

ABC, CNN and Fox News now all broadcast from studios on the street.

By way, while NBC spent much of the time on Today looking back on the 25 years of Studio 1A, they completely cut Matt Lauer out of any of the footage, despite the fact that Lauer had spent as much time as anyone in the studio.
