Stealing From the Competition

The competition steals a story from you with no attribution, no link and no credit.

The news folks at WPMI knows how it feels as well.

WPMI did a series of stories starting back in April about an alleged terrorist training camp in the area. The station slugged their exclusive story “Terror in Alabama.” (screenshot right).

Fast forward to this week and crosstown station WKRG had an “exclusive” story about an alleged terrorist training camp in Alabama. WKRG slugged their story “Terror in Alabama.”

If you’re going to swipe your story from the competition, you should at least come up with a different title and maybe not slug the story as an “exclusive” when you are 3 weeks behind the other guys.
