WJAR (Providence) Meteorologist Zach Green is signing off from the Sinclair station, but he’s not leaving New England.

Green told viewers in a social media post that he will be resurfacing at WBZ in Boston in a couple of months.

Here is what he posted:

In television, there is always an underlying goal to come back home. A few years ago, that became a reality and I was back with the NBC10 team (who happen to be the same people that gave me my start in this business). Being back in Rhode Island after so many years and of course, being close to my family has been so incredible. From Pawtucket Red Sox games to having Scout at the beach on weekends, what’s not to love about Lil Rhody?

That’s what ultimately makes this so bittersweet but also very exciting. I am thrilled to announce that I will be joining the WBZ | CBS Boston Weather Team starting this June! I can’t wait to see what Boston has in store for me. And the best news is, Rhode Island and my family is just down the road!

I want to thank you all so much for your support over the past few years and I will see you all on Channel 4 in Boston!
