KLKN (Lincoln) Weekend Meteorologist/Reporter Alden German called out his News Director in a Facebook group with this post:

I know German is in a tiny market and likely just getting started in this business.

First off, I’m going to stick up for the News Director on this one. Often times the junk and the clutter start to takeover a newsroom and cleaning up from time to time is a good idea.

Often times the newsroom is used for live hits or stand ups and it would be great if it looked somewhat clean. The idea that the ND wants the stuffed animals off the desks is fine, what are you guys like 8 years old?

As for pictures, I have seen desks with so many pictures on it, there is barely room for the computer. Keep the pictures at home. As for the ND having pictures up? They have an office, not a cube. Work hard, get and office and then put your pictures up.

Also, one last piece of advice.

Don’t call out your boss on social media, unless you are ready to deal with the repercussions. I have no clue if your boss is good or bad, but calling him out on Facebook is a pretty dick move if you ask me.

Clean up your stuff, get back to work and quit your whining. You might just find if you do that, you might get to a bigger market than Lincoln.
