Laid Off at Nexstar

Back in February, FTVLive FIRST told you that Nexstar was pulling the plug on weekend morning news at KOIN.

Nexstar claimed that no one was being laid off and that they were just reallocating the staff to different shows. 

The new GM was asked directly if people were getting laid off and replied no. 

Well, guess what? 

One of the morning show staffers was summoned to the HR department yesterday and told he was being laid off. The Editor, that a year and a half ago, packed up his things in Atlanta and moved all the way to Portland, was told he's no longer needed.

Word is more layoffs are coming.
