Longtime DC Anchor and former Good Morning America host Tony Perkins is headed to the radio dial.

Perkins who has been at Fox O&O WTTG for the past two decades is staying on with the station, but in a reduced role.

His main gig will be now working for Majic 102.3 and 'The Donnie Simpson Show', which airs Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“Getting back together with Donnie is literally a dream come true.  We've talked about the possibility many times over the years, but the timing was just never right, "Perkins said.  "But every time I've joined Donnie on the air during these recent years, we've always had a blast.  Even more importantly, my son is growing up fast and as it stands now, I don't get home before midnight. I missed a lot of dinners, homework and ball games. This move allows me to continue to anchor at Fox, join Donnie on the radio and be part of my son’s school and activities. I couldn’t be more blessed," he added.

Perkins will continue his current shift on Fox until January 12, 2018 and will change his schedule on January 19th to hosting Friday and Saturday mornings.

WTTG General Manager Patrick Paolini said "Although we will miss having Tony on our air each day, we are very happy Tony will have an opportunity to fulfill one of his passions and sit side by side with Donnie Simpson, another D.C. legend on MAJIC 102.3/92.7.  We are also thrilled Tony will continue to be part of our Fox 5 family each week on Friday and Saturday mornings and on special assignments.”
