With Ailes Gone Fox News Ratings Go Up

In news that will certainly not make Roger Ailes happy.

Since his ouster as the head of the right leaning network, the network's ratings have gone up.

“From a ratings perspective, it’s been stronger than ever,” said James Murdoch, 21st Century Fox CEO.

During the week of September 12th – September 18th, FOX News Channel was the most-watched cable channel in basic cable in total day viewers (1.4 million) for a fifth consecutive week.

Also, Fox News seems to not be missing Greta Van Susteren either. Since taking over On The Record, Brit Hume continues to deliver double-digit increases in the demo.

For the first two weeks of the program with a new host, On the Record averaged 2.1 million viewers and 360,000 in the 25-54 demo and is up 6% in viewers and up 11% in the demo compared to the August 2016 average.

Maybe Roger Ailes just wasn't as important as he thought he was.
