When technology bites back, it can make for a very ugly newscast.
That's what happened to WCMH in Columbus last night as their late newscast went into technical meltdown.
Anchor Colleen Marshall warn viewers on social media that it was coming.
The newscast was done for the most part with no video, no live shots and no commercials. Spots that did run were just promos for the news....the same news that was melting down before viewers eyes.
They went very long on Weather and then, it got worse.
At 11:23, which had to feel like hours later to those on set and it the control room, they finally got some video to roll and bring the show out of a tailspin.
The good news? It didn't happen during ratings.
