A bunch of TV blogs reported Today that the NBC Owned Television Stations announced it is launching 4 p.m. newscasts at four of its stations: WNBC New York (DMA 1), KNBC Los Angeles (DMA 2), WTVJ Miami (DMA 16) and WVIT Hartford, Conn. (DMA 30).

Ummmmmm....To anyone that read FTVLive months ago back on November 3rd, read this:

But, FTVLive hears that a number of NBC O&O's are looking into launching a 4PM newscast. Again, you see the earlier news popping up in more and more markets and it is happening lately because of all the political ad dollars in play.

Political campaigns want to spend a bulk of their money during newscasts. It is their way to reach more likely voters.

So, stations have been tripping over themselves to ad news, which adds commercial time, which adds political dollars to the station's bank account.

It appears that the NBC O&O's want in on this and they are quietly talking about adding a 4PM newscast to many of their markets.

Just don't tell anyone.

Of course FTVLive beat everyone by months, did any of those blogs report that FTVLive FIRSt had the story in early November?

Of course they didn't.

Looks like the jealously continues into 2016.
