NBC owned WTVJ has decided to go with a big Anchor shakeup just before the start of the May book.

The station announced that morning Anchor Jawan Strader (pictured) is  moving to the evening newscasts with Jackie Nespral.

Adam Kuperstein was the evening Anchor and now will add Sports to his role. Kuperstien started as a Sports Anchor at the station.

He will Anchor news at 5:30 and and do sports at 6PM and 11PM. So in other words, at 5:30PM he might be telling you about a double murder and at 6PM reporting on Cheerleader tryouts for the Dolphins.

Ummmmm ok?

Eric Harryman will be the new morning Anchor, coming from KTXL in Sacramento.

"We’re making some exciting adjustments among our talented team of journalists to better serve our viewers," said Larry Olevitch, NBC 6 President and General Manager. "Jawan has played a pivotal role in rallying our morning team and our morning audience and I am confident he will bring that presence and effectiveness to our evening team. Adam’s passion for sports is unmatched and he has a knack for uncovering unique local stories, from up-and-coming athletes to the pros. Eric is a seasoned professional and has a dynamic personality that complements our strong morning team. I can't wait to introduce our new lineup to our local viewers."

The changes take place starting next Wednesday.
