Police Investigate Fargo News Reporter

KVLY in Fargo did the old "how secure are our schools" story and now the cops are looking into whether KVLY Reporter Mellaney Moore broke the law?

Moorhead police are investigating whether Moore broke Minnesota law during a recent visit to a Moorhead school.

The investigation stemmed from a news story about school security on KVLY. Police are looking into whether trespass laws were broken when the Moore entered a school with a hidden camera without checking in as a visitor.

Moore also entered a school in Fargo.

Police Lt. Joel Vettel says an investigation has not been opened. But Vettel says discussions about the incident have taken place with school officials and the city attorney.

KVLY News Director Ike Walker said the story was aired to help figure out why there are security issues with area schools.
