We hate to say we told you so (no we don't) but on July 26th, FTVLive FIRST told you that KYW Traffic Anchor Meisha Johnson would announce that she was leaving the station.

FTVLive wrote, "Johnson will announce in early August that she's leaving and will likely be gone from the station in the first two weeks of August."

Well guess what, right on cure, Johnson told viewers yesterday that she was leaving the CBS O&O.

“It will be an exciting ride for me, one already in progress, and I am so grateful you’re with me,” Johnson said on CBS3’s Eyewitness News This Morning today. “To my coffee daters, viewers, fans, friends, and family of CBS3, thank you.”

She did not elaborate further on hew new role. However, Johnson did note that while she is leaving KYW this week, it is not “my last [week] in Philadelphia, in media, nor with you.”

Philly.com writes that Johnson, who joined the station in 2015, will finish up at CBS3 on Friday. The network will introduce a new traffic reporter on-air following Johnson’s departure, a spokesperson told the Inquirer.

FTVLive already told you that KYW will be filling Johnson's job with WPHL's Chandler Lutz.

But do try and act surprise when they announce it.

OK?
