Sources tell Me...

When a house exploded in a Cleveland neighborhood, the local media reported that police were looking for a person of interest in a explosion.

The cops were looking for Ronetta Butts and she was named a person of interest in the explosion.

Butts + Explosion? There is joke in there somewhere, but I'll let it pass.

Anyway, WOIO Reporter Lacey Crisp tweeted that cops were looking to talk to Butts.

A short time later Crisp said that her "sources" told her that the woman had been found. She posted this tweet at 8:27PM.

So who was Crisp's sources? It was an email from the police to all the Cleveland stations that happened 10 minutes before her tweet.

I guess saying "sources tell me...." sounds a lot cooler?

Here's a copy of the group email, obtained by FTVLive:
