Sinclair's Future Hiring Problem

FTVLive has heard from countless people that are currently working at Sinclair stations. Many of them are locked into iron-clad contracts, but they tell FTVLive the minute they can get out they will.

Others not locked up and trying hard to leave. "I have made looking for a job my full time job," said one Sinclair employee to FTVLive. "I hate it here," the staffer added.

Others looking for a job in this industry say that they have crossed Sinclair off their list. "I'll work for any company, except Sinclair," said one Anchor that is currently looking for work.

The idea that Sinclair has become so toxic is going to be a problem for their future hiring of Journalists.

Sinclair is already the largest owner of TV stations in the country and they are desperately trying to get even bigger. But, many talented Journalists have crossed the company off their list when it comes to working for them.

"I rather work the drive-thru at McDonald's than work for Sinclair," said the job searching Anchor.

So as more well-qualified Journalist turn their back on Sinclair, that means the toxic company will be stuck hiring people that "want to be on TV" and are not really good at doing Journalism.

Maybe this is all part of Sinclair's plan. Maybe what they want is puppets and not Journalists.

Either way, you can expect over the coming years that the quality of Sinclair's product will diminish as more real Journalists decide to look elsewhere for work.
