There is a mystery in Boston as to the future of NBC Boston and NECN News Director Kenny Plotnik‏? 

FTVLive named Plotnik one of the worst people in TV news for 2017 and we told you that NBC was possibly looking to cut ties with Plotnik after the Feb book. 

Plotnik told some inside the newsroom that the GM at the station had quit talking to him. That's never a good sign. 

Now, sources tell FTVLive that Plotnik has gone on a two week vacation and some think he might not be coming back. 

Before leaving on vacay, station insiders say that Plotnik took a number of items out of his office. 

So, does he return from vacation? And if he does, for how long? 

Inquiring minds want to know.
