TEGNA's Dave Lougee Comments on Sinclair

During the TEGNA Awards which was broadcast to Tegna stations nationwide, sources tell FTVLive that Tegna CEO Dave Lougee addressed what is going on with Sinclair. 

Lougee talked about Sinclair's "centralized editorial content" and according to sources he said, "That is not who we are. We are fierce protectors of independent local journalism. No one knows what your viewers want and need more than you do. It would be insane for (one city) to be held to the same editorial standards as (another city).  It's what's right."

Say what you want about Tegna, in this case, he is dead on point.
