"Embarrassment" for NBC News?

Fox News media critic Brian Flood says that NBC embarrassed themselves trying to cover the shooting at a Florida Highschool.

Flood wrote, "star anchors talking about the shooting from South Korea -- was an embarrassing contrast to rival networks ABC and CBS, who both had their premier anchors on the ground in Parkland, Fla., by Thursday morning."

It was bad luck for NBC, but it was not "embarrassing" as Flood claims.

NBC is covering the Olympic Games and that also means that they have sent their news people to South Korea to report on the games as well.

The Peacock paid billions for the Olympics and they are going to go all out when it comes to covering the event and that includes anchoring their newscasts from Korea as well.

Had they known that a kid was going to walk into a school with an AR-15 and kill 17 people, I can assure you, Lester Holt would have stayed stateside.

But, NBC did not know that and the fact that Holt had to cover the shooting from the other side of the world was clearly a disadvantage, but it was not "embarrassing" as Flood claims.

If a plane from the United States crashed in Seoul, South Korea and Holt was the only network Anchor on the ground in the country, would it have been "embarrassing" for CBS and ABC not having their main Anchors in Korea to cover the story?

No. It would have been a disadvantage, but it would not have been an embarrassment.

If flood wants to report on some "embarrassing" stuff, we suggest tuning into either Tucker Carlson or Sean Hannity's show.

It won't take long to find.

Hey Brian, fishing for stories, just to try and make the competition look bad is starting to make you look like another Brian I know.

Don't be that Brian.

It was bad luck, a disadvantage, but it was certainly not an "embarrassment."

And you know that.
