Dallas Anchor Has a Mini Me

It started with a Mom's tweet and ended up with her 4-year-old daughter going on WFAA's morning newscast.

The tweet was sent to WFAA traffic Anchor Demetria Obilor.

And on Thursday morning, she met a 4-year-old fan named Karsyn, who made the recent observation about Obilor that earned her a guest shot on "Daybreak."

WFAA News DIrector Carolyn Mungo said that after the original tweet, the station decided to invite Karsyn to be on the show. She appeared in the 6 a.m. hour Thursday, helping with the traffic report.

"She's full of character," Obilor says in the Facebook Live. "It's a beautiful thing. I remember, growing up, for me, I didn't see any news anchors with curly hair or natural hair."

"She doesn't want to do anything different with her hair," Mom says, adding, "She loves it, because she likes to shake it," which Karsyn then demonstrates.
