Insiders: NY News Director is Not Coming Back

Back on December 1st, FTVLive told you that WABC News Director Camille Edwards told the staff that she was taking an extended leave from the station. 

She sent an internal memo to the staff, telling them she would be back to work on January 2nd. 

Well, here we are on February 15th and Edwards is still M-I-A from the station. 

There has been no official word, but some inside the WABC newsroom have been quietly told that Edwards will not be returning. 

When Edwards went on leave, she was named in at least two lawsuits against her and the station.

No word on why ABC is being so tight-lipped about the Edwards situation and her job has not been posted.    

Even without an ND, WABC continues to lead the way in the ratings.

One source tells FTVLive that after the Feb book, the company will announce that Edwards will not be returning to the station.
