Going to the John

When NBC said that they were going to fill Matt Lauer's job with Hoda Kotb, everyone raved about what a great choice it was.

Now, CBS News confirms that they have hired John Dickerson to replace Charlie Rose on CBS This Morning. 

Many are saying, "Who is John Dickerson?"

Dickerson is the host of Face the Nation on CBS a show that used to be well quoted, but now lives pretty much in anonymity. 

The choice of Dickerson is classic CBS. A safe choice, a pretty much unknown (think Jeff Glor, Scott Pelley promotions) and one that won't cost them a lot of money. 

I could go on and tell you more about John Dickerson, but let's be honest, your eyes are already glassing over.
