Tegna is shedding itself of another longtime staffer.
Meteorologist Jim Guy joined King 5 in September 2009 and now he's leaving the station to....say it with me.... spend more time with his family.
No word on why he's really leaving, but since he's been at the station almost a decade, we're guessing he was nudged to the door. Look for him to be replaced by someone much younger and much less expensive.
That's the Tegna way now.
