Josh Elliott to Resurface Again...

It appears that Josh Elliott is emerging from the witness protection program, otherwise known as CSBN.

Elliott was one of the stars at ABC's Good Morning America, until NBC hired him away and basically sent his career into reverse.

After NBC dumped him, Elliott was hired by CBS News to work on the company's streaming CBSN. Had hadn't really been heard from since.

While CBS was getting Elliott for next to nothing (as NBC was still paying out his salary), Elliott was anchoring on the Tiffany network's digital channel in all but obscurity. But, it now appears that Elliott is getting a promotion at CBS.

On Friday, Elliott told his viewer(s) that it was his last day at CBSN. He's moving to CBS News, where he will take field assignments and report long form pieces across all CBS platforms including CBSN, the network said.

"It has been by any measure a great stay here at CBSN," he said.

There was a problem in Elliott's announcement, his bosses did not know he would be spilling the beans.

"This is a mess of epic proportions," a network source told the NY Post. "Nobody at the top at CBS News knew that Josh was going to do that."

You just gots to love the irony of the communications business.
