You just can't make up this stuff if you tried. 

NBC Today host Savannah Guthrie was interviewing former CBS News Anchor Dan Rather when she brought up  “a recent poll that said nearly half of people think the media make up stories.”

She then turned to Rather, who was fired from CBS News for making up a story and asked him to  suggest ways in which the news media could “enhance its own credibility.”

No.....really this happened!
