Yesterday, FTVLive told you that CNN parted ways with Donna Brazile, their Democratic contributor.
Brazile was caught in leaked emails, showing that she fed the Clinton camp questions that would be asked in Town Halls and debates. One would think that Brazile had some help at CNN getting those questions, but Jeff Zucker and the gang seemed to be perfectly fine just cutting ties with Brazile and calling it a day.
In CNN statement, the network claims, no one from the network ever gave Brazile "access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate."
Oh really? So those questions just came to her in a dream? Also, how does CNN know that she didn't get the questions from inside the network?
In cutting ties with Brazile, CNN said it is, "completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor."
But you're fine with Corey Lewandowski doing the same for Donald Trump?
Lewandowski has been spotted sneaking off Trump's plane, many sources say that Lewandowski is still acting as an advisor to Trump.
Yet, CNN isn't, "completely uncomfortable" with that arrangement?
There is no doubt that the biggest loser when this election is over, will be the American people, no matter who wins.
But, a close second is the cable news outlets. Everyone of them have lost what small part was left of their credibility. Maybe it is time they take a hard look at themselves, ask what is your purpose? Really ask, at the end of the day, did you really make any kind of worthwhile contribution to people and their lives?
Then after you figure out the answer is no, blow up the place and start over. No more paid contributors, no more talking heads, no more partisan bullshit. Just focus on real news and real coverage.
