Seriously?! Piers Morgan Just Needs to Get Off Twitter

For some reason, low rated MSNBC thinks that Piers Morgan is still relevant and had him on their 'Morning Joe' show.

During his appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," the fired CNN host said, "Most dads don't want to do paid paternity leave." He added, "They pretend they do, but after two weeks of a tiny little baby ... all they're doing is eating, guzzling and depositing, it isn't the most exciting gig in town." Morgan's statement caused co-host Mika Brzezinski to leave the set.

Post-show, Morgan continued discussing the topic on Twitter.

Here is a sample of some of the replies:

Just Asking.....

FTVLive spies recently spotted CNN boss Jeff Zucker, along with Tony Maddox, executive vice president and managing director of CNN International, in Havana, Cuba.

CNN has Patrick Oppmann as the only American TV correspondent based in Cuba.

But, has the network got bigger plans for the island to our south?

Or was Zucker there just for the cigars?

Stay tuned....

Fair and Balanced?

It will be a sad day in New York Today.

Police from across the country will be in the Big Apple for the funeral of fallen NYPD officer Brian Moore.

Moore was killed when he was shot in the face last week.

All the cable nets are expected to do extensive coverage of the funeral.

Anchor Julie Banderas will covering the story for Fox News.

As to her thoughts on the NYPD? Let's turn to Twitter:

The Double Box Times 75

It used to be a double box between the Anchor and Reporter. Then with "Team Coverage" the double box expanded to a triple box, then a quad box and it kept going and going.

But Sky News has taken it to a whole new level.

In their UK election coverage, Sky News had a 150 simultaneous live feeds in the box behind the Anchor.

150!

The cable nets now have a challenge and a record to beat for the 2016 elections.

Here's video from the Sky News coverage.

Montana News Director Shot and Killed (Updated)

Sources tell FTVLive that KTMF (Missoula) News Director Kalee Scolatti was shot and killed last night.

KTMF is not releasing any names but reports, "One of our co-workers was found dead along with another male. A second person was transported to the hospital, their condition is unknown."

The other male that was killed is Anthony Dupras.

KTMF Station Manager Tom Ciprari has confirmed that ABC/FOX News Director Kalee Scolatti was one of the two victims killed in yesterday's triple shooting at a home near Brooks and Tremont.

Kalee would have celebrated her 10th Anniversary with KTMF tomorrow. Ciprari says, “She will be remembered as a kind, passionate leader who always treated employees with respect. Her smile would light up a room. Her laugh was contagious. Her compassion and intelligence motivated dozens of young co-workers over the course of a decade. Our hearts are broken; not just for Kalee's work family, but also for Kalee's three children, parents, brother, and friends. She will be dearly missed."

Phoenix Reporter Signing Off to Spend More Time with Family

Here's a switch, a Phoenix Reporter is leaving the station to spend more time with her family and this time it's really true.

FTVLive told you back in March that KPHO Anchor/Reporter Rebecca Thomas is going to be off to try and help save her mother's life.

Thomas was supposed to have one of her kidney's removed and donated to her mother.

The kidney surgery was put on hold, because her mom underwent a quadruple bypass in surgery in March.

Thomas took to Facebook to tell viewers that she is leaving the station at the end of the month to move back to California to be with her mom.

This maybe be the one time that a TV staffer quit the station to spend more time with their family and it was actually true.

Here is her Facebook post:

BriLie Spotted at Local Drug Store

Suspended NBC Anchor Brian Williams was spotted in public for just the third time since being placed in "time out" for lying.

Williams was spotted at a local drug store buying a few things.

The scandal plagued Anchor did his best to hide his face (but not his legs) as he left the store.

The suspension must be hitting BriWi hard, the poor guy can't even afford shoelaces anymore.

He was seen carrying a couple of bags and some bottled water.

Incidentally, did you know that Brian Williams actually invented bottled water?

He did, just ask him.

Houston Reporter Stands Her Ground

KRIV Reporter Katie McCall stood her ground after the Houston School District tried to get her thrown out of a public meeting.

The action comes after McCall's story of a high school allegedly changing failing grades to passing ones, which could be illegal.

An audit later conducted by the Houston Independent School district confirmed that the principal at Westbury High School was personally involved in the grade-changing scandal.

When McCall showed up at the public meeting this week, a police officer was waiting. The officer informed the reporter that the school district requested she be kicked out.

McCall stood her ground and posted this video to Facebook:

Out the Door in Houston

Back last August, KTRK Anchor Sharron Melton was knocked down from her Anchor job to a "Field Anchor" for the station.

Although it was a fancy name, in reality, she was just a Reporter with a title.

The station tried to play it off like it was not a demotion, but everyone (including viewers) knew it was.

Now, Melton is leaving the station altogether (gee...like no one saw that coming?).

In a post on Facebook, Melton announced her departure and referred to the "field anchor" demotion.

"Even as things changed, you still stayed around," Melton posted. "And I thank you for that."

Here is her post:

Sin City Company Gets OK to Fly Drones for News Coverage

A Las Vegas company has received an exemption from the Federal Aviation Administration to fly an unmanned aerial vehicle to gather news images.

ArrowData, a division of Bowhead Systems, became the first operation in the country to receive approval to use drones for electronic news gathering or “aerojournalism” as the company is calling it.

A company spokesman said ArrowData is negotiating with a television station to use the news drone, but he would not disclose which one.

“This approval from the FAA provides tremendous opportunity for our company to pursue aerojournalism while working with local FAA officials to ensure safe flight operations,” ArrowData Vice President James Fleitz said in a Tuesday statement.

“Helping news stations of all sizes with the ability to have aerial video is a game changer,” Fleitz said. “This is a tool that stations in all markets will use to better inform the public, and we’re proud to be leading the way in this new industry.”

Al Jazeera America Evacuated After Explosion

Al Jazeera just can't seem to catch a break.....

While everything seems to be blowing up inside Al Jazeera America, there are explosions happening outside the network as well.

Yesterday, a manhole explosion near New York City's Penn Station led authorities to evacuate of the studios of Al Jazeera America.

Fire officials say there were no injuries when the midtown Manhattan blast occurred Wednesday morning.

But when the sewer blew up, one AJA staffer emailed FTVLive and said the shit is literally hitting the fan.
