Bitter Much?

Back in September, FTVLive told you that MSNBC had cut ties with Goldie Taylor (it's ok, we didn't know who she was either).

Anyway when Taylor got pushed out at the cable news channel that doesn't cover news, she tweeted about why she was leaving MSNBC:

Well, it appears that Goldie is still bitter about being bounced...this is what she tweeted out this morning:

We don't disagree with her tweet, but it still comes off as sour grapes.

Just saying....

Well it Finally Happened....

We have been telling you the last few weeks that the desktop computer that powers FTVLive.com was this/close to dying and sadly, it finally has.

Over the weekend, our 5 year old computer basically died and we have been updating the site on our laptop.

Using the laptop is fine, except squinting at the small screen is killing our eyes and to be honest after 3 hours has given me a nasty headache. Laptops are great while on the road, but staring at one for 9+ hours a day with failing eyes is not good.

FTVLive has been trying to raise enough cash to buy a new Apple iMac and after starting off quickly, we have stalled just a few hundred bucks short of our goal.

A number of you have stepped up and sent money our way. You guys truly are the best and you need to know how much it is appreciated.

If you haven't helped us out, but would like to keep this site up and running, now would be a great time to donate.

Here is a Paypal link for you to securely send a few bucks our way.

You can also stop by the Apple Store and purchase a gift card and send it our way. You can even do an online gift card and send it to our email address (ftvlive@gmail.com) with no postage needed.

November Came and Went Without Dr. Nancy Synderman

When Dr. Nancy Synderman embarrassed NBC by breaking ebola quarantine, many wondered if she would ever be seen on NBC's news programs again?

People are still wondering.

After the 21 day quarantine was over in October, Synderman never returned to the air.

NBC News President Deborah Turness wrote in an internal memo, "we very much look forward to their return next month."

That meant we should have seen the TV Doc on the air sometime in November.

November came and went and Synderman was MIA from NBC.

Staffers inside NBC are in the dark about Synderman's future as much as the rest of us.

Turness has made no more comments about the Synderman's future and NBC has been using Dr. Natalie Azar, a rheumatologist and NYU clinical instructor on the air.

So, has Synderman been fired?

Stay tuned....

Matt Lauer Lands Ray Rice

With the news that Ray Rice is allowed to play in the NFL again, the former Ravens Running Back is turning to Matt Lauer to try and resurrect his NFL career.

Rice and his wife  Janay are sat down with Lauer for an interview that will air today and tomorrow on the Today Show.

NBC has been busy this weekend promoting Lauer's get, the Peacock released a short promo clip late Friday and ran promos across all NBC platforms over the weekend.

Clips of the interview aired on Meet The Press and will also air on Nightly News.

Stay tuned....

Shots Fired at Reporter Doing Interview

WCHS (Charleston) Reporter Sean Delancey was interviewing a woman on Saturday as a follow-up for a story about a shooting the night before.

Before the interview even got started, someone started firing shots at them.

At least three shots were fired while the camera rolled.

Delancey reported: ‘When I heard the first shot, my whole body went stiff. It was only when I got behind the car you realize how close it was because you could hear that zip.’

FTVLive remembers to this day getting shot at in the LA riots and when Delancey talks about hearing the "zip", we know exactly what he means.

Let's go to the video:

WATCH: Reporter Shot At Multiple Times During Live Interview - Charleston, West Virginia CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A WCHS reporter was shot at on Charleston's west side while following up on a story Saturday afternoon. Eyewitness News reporter Sean Delancey was following up on a shooting that happened Friday night near Young's Department Store on the west side.

Protestors Vandalize San Francisco Station's Live Truck

Over the Weekend, Protests in response to the Grand Jury decision in the Michael Brown shooting went on around the nation.

While most of the protests outside Ferguson were peaceful, in San Francisco the demonstration turn violent.

Arrests were made and property was damaged, including a live truck from KPIX. Protestors smashed the windows and threw a flare inside the truck.

Idiots!

Dog Gone Weather People

WTVJ in Miami does what many stations do by having a segment to try and get homeless pets adopted. It gives the animals a few minutes to get their cute face on TV and hope that someone will give them a home.

A dog named King had his spot was coming up right after the weather segment, but he decided he wasn't going to wait around for the weather guy, so he jumped in the shot and moved his segment up in the newscast.

Smart dog and give him credit for trying to wrap the weatherman up on time. Maybe this dog would make a good Producer.

Larry King Has Officially Lost It

When CNN pulled the plug on Larry King and replaced him with the boastful Brit, Piers Morgan it turned out to be a very bad move.

Morgan tanked CNN's ratings at 9PM, denied and FTVLive report that CNN was pulling the plug on his show and just never could fill the shoes of the King.

But, maybe CNN was right to pull King's show when they did.

Check out King's Twitter stream and it appears that even the great Larry King has run out of things to talk about:

Former CNN Anchor Kiran Chetry Doing Infomercials

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that Anchor Kiran Chetry was pushed out at Fox News after the network was sick of dealing with her agent John Ferriter.

She then popped up at CNN on another one of the network's failed attempts at a morning show. Chetry signed off in 2011 from CNN promising she wouldn't be gone long and had a "very special opportunity” elsewhere.

Although she had a few token appearances on E! News and a few other places, Chetry has been almost invisible.

So, we were surprised when she saw this Tweet late last week.

Yes folks, Kiran Chetry is now doing infomercials. If this was her "special opportunity" that she talked about, we think she might need to find a new agent.

In our opinion, her agent John Ferriter helped crater her career.

By the way, NutriBullet cyber Monday deals suck.

Just saying....

Mother of Shooting Victim: Where Does CNN Get This Stuff?

A St. Louis area woman was killed by a bullet from a gun her mom says she purchased a couple of years ago.

CNN reported that she had recently bought the firearm because of all the problems in Ferguson.

Becca Campbell dies on November 21st and her mother Lorraine Neal of Florissant, said she thought Campbell accidentally shot herself with her own gun.

“I believe in my heart that it was an accident and that none of it was intentional,” she said.

Campbell was driving her 2006 Toyota Highlander with a friend after finishing a shift as a server at Tigín Irish Pub downtown, Neal said. Campbell carried a handgun for protection and had it with her that night.

Neal said her daughter’s friend told her and detectives that Campbell had started waving the gun, jokingly, while they were talking about the potential for unrest in Ferguson. The gun went off accidentally, he told her. Neal said she believed his story.

Neal said her daughter had just gotten off work and then may have had a few drinks before she was shot.

“I think she was waving it around, he went to grab it and it hit her in the right temple,” Neal said.

Neal said her daughter bought the handgun almost two years ago as protection for her two children, and disputes a CNN report that she had recently purchased it to prepare for the possibility of unrest in Ferguson.

“Where do they get this stuff?” Neal said.

It's the old case of never letting the facts get in the way of a good story.

Longtime CNN Producer Calls it Quits

After 14 years, CNN Producer NuNu Japaridze is leaving the cable news network.

She posted this nice message to Facebook:

"After 14 years with CNN, I have decided it is time to take on a new challenge in my career path.

I am beyond grateful for all of my experiences at CNN. It has been an honor to work with the best on-air talent, editorial and technical crew in the industry.

Thank you for teaching me the ropes. I have learned so much from all of you. I am proud to call many of you my friends. I am excited about my new newsroom adventure, but I have realized that no matter where life takes me, CNN will always have a special place in my life.

Growing up in the former Soviet Union, where there was no freedom of the press, it was always my dream to one day work at CNN. OK, maybe it was more wishful thinking. To this day, I still pinch myself and have a hard time believing that my dream became a reality.

Tomorrow is my last day at CNN. I won't say "goodbye," but rather "see you later," as I leave knowing that the deep connections I have made are forever."

She did not say where she was headed, but in the comments to her post Fox News Correspondent Ed Henry says:

Stay tuned....

Report: Bolduan Maybe Replaced on CNN's New Day

The website The Wrap is out with a report that says that CNN boss Jeff Zucker is exploring the opportunity of replacing Bolduan on CNN's New Day.

Although the website bills their report as an "exclusive" you can go back in the FTVLive archives and find out that FTVLive has reported that news over a year ago.

The site says that Zucker is close to making a decision on whether to replace Bolduan, who is currently on maternity leave.

Back in October 2013, FTVLive wrote, "(Chris) Cuomo told Zucker that Kate Bolduan is not a good fit for him and he wants someone new."

The Wrap writes that New Day is up 23 percent in total viewers year-over-year from mid-September to now; the time period Bolduan has been on maternity leave after having her first child, Cecilia.

What the Wrap doesn't point out that in that time you have had Ferguson, mid-term elections and ebola.... the ratings would have been up no matter who was anchoring the show.

Alisyn Camerota, who FTVLive FIRST reported was headed to CNN months before anyone else would be Bolduan's replacement, the Wrap reports.

The problem that most everyone sees, except Jeff Zucker is that Bolduan is not the problem, Cuomo is.

Cuomo is arrogant and not liked by many that watch him. But, Zucker hired him with much fanfare and dumping him would be Zucker admitting he made a huge mistake in that hire. Zucker is not one to ever admit to making a mistake.

So, while it is not a done deal that Bolduan will be replaced, it is surely a good bet and if it happens, it will not fix CNN's morning problems.
