What was Wrong with Fox News Anchor Gregg Jarrett?

There was a lot of chatter on social media on Saturday, when people started to wonder what the hell was wrong with Fox News Anchor Gregg Jarrett?

Many were posting that Jarrett was not sounding normal during his FNC shifts at 2:30pm, 4:30pm and 6pm.

At 6pm he sounded real bad, was talking slower and slurring his words.

Around 6:40pm he left the show and was never back on with co-anchor Arthel Neville.

Arthel Neville never mentioned if Gregg was sick and had to leave early.

Fox News has also not commented on what happened.

Here is a video during the 6PM hour from Saturday, clearly something is wrong:

SNL takes Well Deserved Swipe at CNN

While CNN continues to embarrass themselves with their "Breaking News" coverage of the missing plane, the rest of the world is laughing at them.

Even Saturday Night Live had fun mocking CNN's breaking news alerts and non-stop coverage of the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

Cast members Beck Bennett and Vanessa Bayer starred in an ad for a CNN-themed pregnancy test that gave regular updates without ever giving actual — or accurate — results.

Sounds familiar don't you think?

Here's the video:

Fire Burns Down Former KNTV Studio

San Jose firefighters fought 5-alarm fire in downtown last night.

The location of the fire was at the former KNTV NBC Bay Area KNTV news building at 645 Park Ave.

At the height of the fire, flames and thick black smoke could be seen for miles in the South Bay.

San Jose Fire Department officials had to call for aid from neighboring cities to battle the fire.

Firefighters upgraded the fire to a five-alarm blaze Sunday afternoon.

Some would argue that this station was already burned to the ground when Granite bought it.

Just saying....

CBS O&O's giving away a Car

The CBS O&O's have ramped up the "Like us on Facebook" rhetoric.

If you like them on Facebook you could win Audi A3.  The rules state only one entry per person, but it appears you can like each station (14 in all) and that would give you 14 chances to win the car.

But, the rules also state that you must live in one of the markets of these TV stations. So if you live in a market with a CBS O&O, go to all the O&O station's Facebook pages and like them. It will give you more entries and a chance to win. So head to the FB pages of  WCBS-TV, KCBS-TV, WBBM-TV, KYW-TV, KTVT-TV, KPIX-TV, WBZ-TV, WWJ-TV, WCCO-TV, WFOR-TV, KCNC-TV, KOVR-TV, KDKA-TV, WJZ-TV and like them so you can win.

Why the O&O's care if you like them on Facebook? We have no idea.

Chalk Up Another Strike for David Gregory and Meet the Press

NBC's David Gregory has gone and done it again.

A survivor of the Boston Marathon bombing stormed out of a scheduled interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” in tears on Friday.

Adrianne Haslet-Davis, a dancer who lost part of one leg during the attack, said NBC promised not to name alleged bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev in her presence but did not follow through on the request.

They broke that promise:

She then wrote an open letter to NBC on her website that ended with this:

"My second request you know of, to be referred to as a survivor, not a victim. This one you honored, but I think you forget what a victim truly is defined as. For I will not be a victim, not on anyones level, whether it be from a terrorist, or the press."

NBC letter released this statement:

Adrianne Haslet-Davis is an inspiring survivor with an important story to share. She was due to take part in a roundtable discussion for Meet the Press with three other participants. She requested that the alleged bombers’ names not be used in the entire program, but given the nature of the discussion we couldn’t make that guarantee. We regret any distress caused by this miscommunication.”

What was his name again?

When Good Morning America Anchor Josh Elliott packed up his ego and headed to NBC Sports, some wondered what kind of impact it would have in GMA's ratings?

The first week without Elliott is in the books and his leaving did cause a change in the ratings.

They went up.

Good Morning America drew more viewers for the week of March 31 right after Elliott left, than it did in the three weeks prior to that.

The show is also up year to year and continues to top the Today Show in the ratings.

So NBC has stolen both Elliott and Sam Champion from GMA and their ratings continue to go up.

As they say, sometimes karma is a bitch.

Layoffs at Al Jazeera America

Remember when Al Jazeera America launched?

FTVLive said the network would pull no ratings and they said they were in it for the long haul and had the financial backing to go for a long time.

Well, the network is still basically pulling hashmarks in the ratings and the money seems to be drying up.

Add that up and what do you have?

Layoffs.

Al Jazeera America is laying dozen staffers and telling freelancers their services are no longer needed.

One sources tells FTVLive that the channel's flagship newscast, "America Tonight" with Joie Chen, will be pre-empted on Wednesdays for, of all things, a reality show (wait a minute! Is Jeff Zucker moonlighting at AJA?).

Either way, it's never good when the flagship show is regularly pre-empted.

Stay tuned...

That's it....

You can stick a fork in KUSI (San Diego) Weatherman John Coleman....he's done.

After more than 60 years in the business, including the last 20 at KUSI he has decided to retire.

Coleman, 79, currently is on vacation. He notified the station he is retiring immediately, so there will be no farewell appearance. Late in the afternoon, after the news broke of his decision, Coleman tweeted: "On the beach and I did it my way No speeches. Just out the door. LIG"

So simple....So nice
