Anchor's Daughter Writes Song About His Drinking

WGN's Mark Suppelsa's daughter Ava wrote a song about her dad.

It wasn't about his anchoring, it was about his drinking problem. And if you thought that was mean, you haven't heard the song.

The song is called "Finish Line" and its about her dad's battle with the bottle.

Suppelsa took time off from the station in 2012 to go to rehab and although he fights it, he has stayed sober. We're sure a song like this from his daughter helps him continue to stay that way.

Very touching....

An original song I wrote about witnessing alcoholism in a loved one, and his journey to recovery. I hope this song can be helpful and inspiring for anybody struggling to reach sobriety.
