Cleveland GM, OUT

Normally, firings happen on Friday; but when they're attempted to be disguised as a 'resignation', then all bets are off.

WOIO GM Dominic Mancuso just announced to the staff that he's leaving the Raycom station. In his email he told staffers he, 'needs to take a break'. At least he didn't say he needs to, 'spend more time with his family'. His last day is August 26th.

No one should be shocked by this. Mancuso has led some pretty crazy moves and a hemorhage of good talent; not the least of which was dropping the 'Action News' slogan that put WOIO back on the map under successful GM, Bill Applegate.

In the meantime, we bet ND Fred D'Ambrosi is ordering a case of TUMS.
