Court Date set for Former Fox News Reporter Charged with Rape

FTVLive told you yesterday that former Fox News and Roanoke Reporter Orlando Salinas was arrested for and charged with rape and forcible sodomy. 

Salinas had his arraignment on Wednesday afternoon, Brad McConnell was appointed as his attorney and his trial date has been set for October 19 at 9 a.m.

Salinas faces charges of rape and forcible sodomy from a direct indictment from a Montgomery County grand jury on Tuesday.

The charges stem from an incident on January 11, 2016, according to court documents. The documents reveal that the alleged victim is not his wife.

Salinas does have prior criminal history of larceny, according to court documents.

Along with Fox News, Salinas last worked at WDBJ in Roanoke, before he was fired from that job.
