Sometimes the News Comes to You

When you work in TV news, most often you have to go out and cover the news, sometimes on that rare occasion, the news comes to you.

That is exactly what happened to a WJLA (DC)  news crew. The crew was out covering a story on a stabbing, when a man approached a WJLA Photographer and said, "I've been shot."

The station says that the man, who approached the crew was conscious and breathing and requested some water.

The victim told WJLA Photographer Mike Vaughn, "I've been shot." The crew then helped the man sit down along a nearby curb.

The suspect in the shooting is still at large.
