First the West Nile Virus was going to kill us all. Then it was ebola that was going to do us in. Now it's the Zika Virus.
The latest killer virus is really bad news for pregnant women.
So, it is a bit head scratching that Sinclair owned KEYE in Austin, TX sent a pregnant reporter to cover the Zika Virus outbreak impacting several people in Austin, Texas.
Reporter Lindsay Liepman was assigned to do multiple live shots outside the county health department covering the Zika Virus.
The virus is especially dangerous for pregnant women, so it seems like a no brainier that that is not who you would assign to the story.
Liepman did her job without complaints, but someone at Sinclair should be ashamed that she was even assigned this story to begin with.
