GM Out the Door in SoCal

A Scripps SoCal GM is leaving...

KGTV (San Diego) GM Jeff Block is leaving the station and headed to San Francisco.

Here is the internal memo sent to the GM's at Scripps:

TV GMs, corporate office and corporate remote employees:

Today, Jeff Block, vice president and divisional GM, announced he is resigning.
Jeff also serves as the GM for KGTV in San Diego.

Jeff is moving back to San Francisco, where he lived for more than 20 years and
owns a home. The Bay area is a nexus between media and technology, and his
passion for technology will play a large part in his next chapter.

Jeff will remain with Scripps through the end of April. We will fill the divisional GM
position in addition to the GM position at KGTV. Both roles will be posted to
scripps.com soon. Please continue to reach out to him as needed while we
develop a transition plan.

Jeff began his career with Scripps in 2012 when it acquired the McGraw Hill
television stations, including KGTV, where he had been the GM since 2008. In
the spring of 2013, Jeff was promoted to divisional GM. He oversees the ratings
and revenue for a cluster of western Scripps stations and WTVF in Nashville. He
also played an important role as we've integrated the former Journal stations.

We will very much miss his leadership and his knowledge of our industry, but we
wish him all the best in his next adventure.
