A news crew from WJLA in DC was attending a press conference by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and Police Chief Cathy Lanier to discuss a Task Force created to fight robberies.
While they were attending the anti-robbery presser, their news vehicle was broken into.
WJLA Reporter Stephen Tschida says thieves tore through the vehicle after smashing the car's window. The punks made off with a cache of equipment.
Tschida said the crime happened a few feet away from where the mayor and chief were speaking.
