After 32 years at KMBC, morning Anchor Kris Ketz is moving into the main chair.

Ketz was "stunned" to learn that he is coming off the morning show and that early morning wake up call to start anchoring the 6PM and 10PM newscast on the station.

Ketz joined KMBC on July 4, 1983. For 14 years he co-anchored the weekday editions of KMBC 9 News at 5 before being moved to the morning newscast in 2007.

Back in 1998, had the chance to co-anchor a Father's Day edition of KMBC 9 News at 10 with his dad.

Now, he moves to the main gig just in time for the May book.

No pressure there....right?
