More Broadcast TV Competition With "Moments"

If you don't think Twitter is a real competitor to broadcast TV, think again.

Twitter created "Moments" to help new users more easily navigate what some think is a confusing platform. Those of us in TV, see a more defined competitor in the new feature. Instead of sifting through your timeline or searching the site for more info on something you're interested in, you can click on your "Moments" tab, and get a curated news feed on the topic; complete with photos and video.

Over the past couple of days, "Deadly South Carolina Floods", "Miami Dolphins Fire Coach", and "Homeland Season 5 Premiere" have been some of the top 'moments'. Let's see how fierce it gets for local stations and networks, to try and get their content to the top of the 'moments' feed.
