City of Paris Plans On Suing Fox News (Updated)

The Mayor of Paris thinks Fox News should pay up for airing a number of segments claiming the French capital contained “no-go zones” that prohibit entry to non-Muslims and are frequently avoided by city police.

Fox News has retracted and apologized for airing the segments.

But that isn't stopping Paris form wanting FNC to pay the price.

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo went on CNN to announce her intentions against Fox News. "I’m insulted, and when we’ve had an image, then I think they’ll have to sue, I think they’ll have to go to court, in order to have these words removed. The image of Paris has been prejudiced, and the honor of Paris [has] been prejudiced. And I think in the great discussion of truth, everyone has to play its role and we’re going to have to be realistic and put things as they are," the Mayor told CNN's Christiane Amanpour.

Update: Michael Clemente Fox News Executive Vice President of News responded to the Mayor's comments by saying, “We empathize with the citizens of France as they go through a healing process and return to everyday life. However, we find the Mayor’s comments regarding a lawsuit misplaced."
