WJLA Names New ND

In a surprise to absolutely no one, WJLA has named Mitch Jacob as the new news director at the station.

Jacob had been the ND at Sinclair owned WSYX in Columbus. Sinclair recently purchased WJLA and instilled Jacob's old GM in Columbus as the GM at WJLA.

WJLA GM Dan Mellon told the staff of Jacob's hiring today and he will be starting Oct. 1.
