Time Warner CEO Caught in a Lie

Well, we now know that Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes isn't the most honest guy.

Last week, Bewkes was in Sun Valley, Idaho, for the annual media conference.

Rumors have been swirling for a while now that Time Warner has been in play and could be an acquisition target for a number of companies.

Bewkes was asked straight up if he knew about any interest in Time Warner from Google or  Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox?

“I know nothing about it,” he said, before ducking away.

But after this morning's news that Murdoch's Fox had made an offer for TW in June, it showed that Bewkes was lying.

Of course he was put in a tough spot and we really doubt he wanted to break at the media conference in Idaho, but did he need to lie?

He could have just ignored the question or given a "no comment" but, instead he decided to not tell the truth.

And now he has been caught.

It's a story we doubt you will see reported on CNN.

Just saying....
