Vegas Station Owner is Dead

KSNV (Las Vegas) owner Jim Rogers died Saturday evening at his Las Vegas home. He was 75.

Rogers, who lived 61 years in Las Vegas, was the longtime owner of  Intermountain West Communications, which operated the NBC affiliate  KSNV in Las Vegas and a handful of other stations,  including in Reno and Elko. From that position, Rogers regularly railed  against tight-fisted state legislators for the hard times facing both  K-12 and higher education.

Rogers sold KRNV (Reno) late last year.

No word yet on what will happen to KSNV in Sin City.
